Clean and Oil Customer Gun
Rifles and Handguns cleaned and lubricated with Remington products
Consisting of completely stripping gun down, cleaning all parts, checking for wear, making suggestions to the customer of services needed to bring the firearm to A-1 condition
Metal Finishing
Matte, Deluxe, Master
Matte: Abrasive / bead blast / wire wheel
Deluxe: Same as above followed with #240 and #400 grit polish with all screw holes protected and square.
Master: Same as deluxe finish with all polishing marks removed, no ripples, and finished with #555 polish to a mirror finish
Slow Rust Bluing / Browning
Using Mark Lee Products
Polishing to a Deluxe Finish, I then apply either bluing or browning compound, followed by a slow rust method using super heated steam, then carded, and the process repeated until a deep blue or brown patina is reached.
Sight Work
Sight in Customer Gun (Does not include cost of ammo, targets, etc.)
Laser bore-sighting
Sighting in: Rifles are sighted at 200 yards, handguns at 25 yards, utilizing a bench rest and minimum of 3 rounds
Laser Bore-sight: Accomplished with a laser bore-sight device at 25 yards
General barrel, action & Rifle Work
Work related to rifle and handgun actions, muzzles, barrels, and Misfires
Extracting stuck fired casing I use either a broken shell extractor or rod (depending on severity)
Extracting a live round the round is carefully tapped out and disposed of properly
Polish feed ramps
Install pre-threaded and chambered barrels, flash suppressors and compensators
Clean and smooth action (Not including any parts)
Sight installation
Installation of pre-cut front and rear sights , w/o cost of sights, into existing dovetail slots (Includes bore-sighting)
Using a sight press or tapping hammer sights are pressed into dove tail grooves and aligned
Stock Work
Wood Finishing (Does not include any shaping) Using TruOil finish
Hunter Finish: Unfilled oil or lacquer on average stock
Gunsmith Finish: Filled, rubbed oil finish on average stock
Hi-Gloss Finish: Filled, carded, rubbed oil finish, with finishing compound
